Man Utd 'interested' in £38m-rated ace as Everton plot transfer raid

Erik ten Hag has kept his job in the dugout at Old Trafford and has the chance to add some signings to his squad now the transfer window is open. Here is a look at some of the latest news and rumours coming out of the club...

Winger latest

United have ‘offered’ Barcelona the chance to sign Jadon Sancho this summer but the La Liga giants are only interested in a permanent deal, according to a report by Spanish news outlet Sport. The 24-year-old, who has made 23 caps for England, is facing an uncertain future right now. He is due to return for pre-season following his recent loan spell away at Borussia Dortmund but he has fallen out of favour.

Sancho joined the Red Devils back in 2021 but has struggled to make an impact. He has made 82 appearances in all competitions and has scored 12 goals. Dortmund were given the green light to re-sign him on a temporary basis this past winter and he found the net on three occasions in 23 matches for the Bundesliga outfit. It remains to be seen whether they will be trying to get him back.

Barca are in the market for a player in his position as they look to close the gap on Real Madrid. They don’t want to fork out the cash required to land Sancho though and may have to pursue other options on loan instead.

Midfielder update

United are ‘interested’ in a move for PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte but are yet to make a ‘formal’ approach, as per ESPN. The Uruguay international has been identified as someone who would add more competition and depth to their midfield department.

At the age of 23, he has plenty of time on his side and potential to get better in the future. He is valued at €45million (£38million) as per Transfermakrt.

He made the switch over to Europe in 2021 to join Famalicão and played only 21 games before Sporting Lisbon decided to snap him up. He then became a key player for the Portuguese giants to earn a big-money transfer to PSG last year. However, he hasn’t quite managed to show what he is all about in France and is being linked with a move away already.

Everton eye pair

TalkSPORT claim Everton are interested in Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof. Sean Dyche is apparently ready to raid United to land the pair as he hunts for new faces.

Wan-Bissaka is also believed to be on the radar of Galatasaray over in Turkey. He rose up through the ranks at Crystal Palace and broke into their first-team as a youngster before his move up to the North West. He has been with the Red Devils for the last five years but could be on his way soon. As for Lindelof, talkSPORT suggest he is free to leave for a new club.
