Euro 2024 man on radar

United are being linked with a swoop for Fenerbahce ace Ferdi Kadioglu in this transfer window. He is currently away at Euro 2024 with the Turkey national team and helped his country get out of their group at the tournament.

According to Turkish Football, the Red Devils are ‘interested’ in luring him over to England ahead of the next campaign as they hunt for reinforcements and have watched him in action along with fellow top flight outfit Arsenal.

Kadioglu, 24, has been playing in a left-wing back role and cutting in on his favoured right foot over recent times. He has 18 caps for Turkey and could be seen by United as someone to add more competition and depth to their squad.

The Holland-born man started his career at NEC Nijmegen before he was snapped up by Feyenoord as a youngster in 2018. However, he lasted only 12 months in Rotterdam before he was allowed to head back to NEC.

Kadioglu then broke into the first-team at Goffertstadion and scored 12 goals in 70 games before Fenerbahce snapped him up. He has since become a key player for the Super Lig giants and has made 197 appearances for the Istanbul outfit altogether to date, chipping in with 17 goals.

His current team will have a decision to make on his future if a bid was to come in from elsewhere for his services. They are now managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho. Kadioglu’s contract expires in June 2026 meaning they are under no pressure to cash in on him anytime soon and can wait for the right offer to come in for his services.

Leeds United favourite linked

As detailed in a report by The Mirror, United are one of Archie Gray’s many ‘suitors’ after his impressive breakthrough at Leeds United.

The Whites could face a battle to keep hold of the prodigy following their failure to get promotion from the Championship. Daniel Farke’s side were beaten 1-0 in the second tier play-off final at Wembley by Southampton after attacker Adam Armstrong’s first-half strike. Gray, who is 18-years-old, is also wanted by Chelsea, according to The Telegraph.

The England youth international has risen up through the academy at Leeds and was a regular for them at various different youth levels. He has played 52 games for their first-team now so far and is being tipped for a bright future in the game.

The United-linked man won the Young Player of the Season award and is someone who Leeds will be desperate to retain as they look to get promoted next year.
