Man Utd are hoping Jadon Sancho will find a new club in the summer transfer window.

Jadon Sancho would be due to report back to Manchester United for pre-season training if he does not find a new club before it begins.

United are still intending to help Sancho find a new club during the summer transfer window, though there is nothing imminent on his future despite plenty of interest in his signature.

Club sources have told ManchesterWorld that despite his falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, he would still be due back for pre-season training on July 8, however it remains to be seen how a possible return to Carrington would be managed. There is no indication of whether or not he would be allowed to train with the rest of his teammates, or whether he would be expected to take part in individual sessions.

Sancho was frozen out by Ten Hag after refusing to apologise for an inflammatory social media post in September, when he claimed he had been made a 'scapegoat' by the Dutchman. As a result, the forward was forced to work alone at the club's academy facilities and was not allowed to mix with his senior team-mates at the club's Carrington training ground.

The 24-year-old re-joined former club Borussia Dortmund on loan in the January transfer window and despite a mixed spell back in Germany, he played a key role as they reached the Champions League final.

Dortmund are one of the sides interested in a move for Sancho this summer, but are only likely to make a loan offer for him, with United valuing the forward at roughly £40 million. Juventus have also been linked with a move, but again it would most likely be an initial loan switch. United's preference is to sell Sancho in order to balance the books and to comply with Financial Fair Play restrictions and the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules, though a sale is difficult due to his high market value and substantial wages.

A month ago, United coach Benni McCarthy lifted the lid on why Sancho had refused to apologise to Ten Hag over his social media outburst. "If you’re from the streets, no one wants to apologise," he told South African radio station 947 Joburg. "You admit you are not training well, you are lazy, everything you are accused of. Jadon wasn’t going to have that. The manager has a strong character and just said that all he wants is an apology. Jadon thought that he had done nothing wrong.

"He didn't see why he had to apologise. Sometimes you have to apologise, because a player will never win against a manager. I spoke to Jadon as a coach, as a mentor, as a friend, and as someone who grew up on the streets and knows the code. But Jadon just wasn’t seeing it. He said, 'I ain’t apologising because if I do, I’m apologising for being lazy, always being late, not giving my best – that’s what I’m apologising for'. Those were his reasons. I spoke to the manager and I said to him that you know the delicacy, and I think Jadon feels that if he apologises then he's going to be classed as someone who doesn't train hard, doesn't work hard, that everything that was said against him was true."
