Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are all reportedly interested

Former Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has hailed Michael Olise as ‘exceptional’.

And the Austria boss has revealed he is surprised he is not in France’s squad for Euro 2024 after the winger recorded 10 goals and six assists in just 14 Premier League starts for Crystal Palace in the 2023-24 season.

Several clubs have been strongly linked with an interest in him including United, Chelsea and Liverpool - while Man City and Arsenal have also been linked. Palace, it is reported, want between £60-70 million for Olise but some reports have suggested his release clause is lower for clubs competing in the Champions League.

Les Bleus, among the favourites to achieve glory in Germany, play their opening fixture against Rangnick’s Austria tonight. Via Get Football News France, Rangnick said: “He has never been called up by France but I love Michael Olise.

“If only he had Austrian origins! He is an exceptional player: he is quick, a strong dribbler, technically gifted and he works when he loses the ball. Whenever I saw him play, he had a smile on his face. I am not unhappy that Deschamps didn’t call him up.”
