Erik ten Hag will go into a third season as Manchester United manager after the decision was made to keep him on board. An extensive end-of-season review left the Dutchman waiting to hear on his future and despite reports of talks with alternative options, sources confirmed that keeping Ten Hag on board was the ‘clear conclusion’.

Ten Hag has been under almost constant pressure since arriving at United in the summer of 2022 but with two major trophies to his name, has banked credit among supporters. And in modern football, few current head coaches can boast making it to a third season in charge of any club, never mind one with such pressure as the Reds.
