De Ligt latest

United are said to be pursuing a deal to sign Bayern Munich and Netherlands star Matthijs de Ligt this summer as they bid to add strength to the centre-back position. According to Sky Sport Germany, Bayern will demand at least £44million this summer, and there could also be add-ons involved in a deal.

The player’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has already admitted he is working on a ‘solution’ for his client this summer. De Ligt is looking very likely to move on from the Allianz Arena this summer, but it won’t be until his time at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands has concluded.

Greenwood ‘talks’

United look likely to cash in on Mason Greenwood after his impressive loan spell at Getafe last season. According to Corriere dello Sport, Lazio are continuing their efforts to land the forward despite seeing a £20million offer rejected.

It’s claimed the Red Devils are looking for £30million to sell this summer, and a new round of talks will reportedly take place in the next 48 hours. Marseille are the other team who reportedly have serious interest, with United not likely to keep Greenwood due to his legal issues in the past. Ten Hag said of Greenwood last year when there were calls aplenty for the forward to be released: "It's a club decision. Of course I have said my ideas and opinions but it's a club decision. We all have to accept that."

McTominay exit links

United midfielder Scott McTominay is said to be attracting interest from Premier League rivals Fulham this summer. The Scotland international proved a crucial player for Ten Hag last season, but it’s still reported by GiveMeSport, that the club are willing to sell him this summer.

Fulham are also said to be considering Manchester City misfit Kalvin Phillips as they look to replace Palhinha, who is likely to leave this summer. Ten Hag has previously said of McTominay: “This season, last season as well (McTominay made an impact), so I think he’s an example for many other players nowadays. There are not many players who can come from the bench and bring this energy. He’s ready for every minute, always contributing to the team. Football is a team sport and we forget that often.

“But Scott is the example, always giving the spirit, in the week when he is training, doing the right things, working on himself, gives max. He’s ready for one minute, he’s ready for 90 minutes, he’s always ready. I think it’s great to have such a player.”
