Arsenal’s injury list is of interest for both Manchester clubs this weekend.

Mikel Arteta has revealed Bukayo Saka and Takehiro Tomiyasu are both doubts for Arsenal’s trip to Manchester United this weekend.

It’s a blow for the Gunners, who are a point clear of Manchester City in the Premier League title race, albeit the reigning champions have a game in hand.

A win at Old Trafford on Sunday would all but ensure the battle for top spot will go down to the final game of the season, when Arsenal host Everton and City face West Ham United.

While City travel to Craven Cottage without any injury issues, the potential absence of Saka is a major concern for Mikel Arteta. The England international, who has played 34 league games this season and scored 16 goals, picked up a knock in last week’s win over Bournemouth when he suffered a leg wound following a collision with Ryan Christie.

As for Tomiyasu, his issue is a fresh one given the full-back played the full 90 minutes in the 3-0 win over the Cherries.

“A few doubts that tomorrow we can resolve with another training session so we’ll have to see. A few doubts over Tomi and Saka, yes,” Arteta said in Friday’s press conference, while Jurrien Timber is the only other potential absentee as he continues to recover from a long-term knee injury.

As for United, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay are all back in training after recent knocks, but Mason Mount has picked up a fresh injury. Lisandro Martinez, who was seen at Carrington this week, also won’t be involved in Sunday’s Premier League clash, along with Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Willy Kambwala, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial.
