Man Utd are looking to sign a striker in the summer transfer window and have an interest in the Dutch striker.

Manchester United have been handed a potential boost in their pursuit of Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee. Erik ten Hag's side are one of many clubs interested in a possible move for the 23-year-old this summer as they look to sign another striker to offer support for Rasmus Hojlund.

Zirkzee, 23, ticks a lot of boxes for United, not only because of his age but also because he is viewed as a player with enormous untapped potential who could offer something different in the forward line.

A deal for Zirkzee is also made more appealing by his €40million (£34m) release clause this summer, making him an attractive option for United in particularly given that finances are tight amid FFP and PSR regulations.

AC Milan were initially believed to be winning the race to sign the Dutch forward, however a report in Italy suggests they have now 'lost advantage' and are 'exploring alternative targets' amid United's growing interest in the player.

Corriere dello Sport say that although Milan had agreed personal terms with Zirkzee over a proposed move this summer, the Italian giants are now actively looking at other striker options in case he ends up moving to the Premier League instead.

ManchesterWorld revealed earlier this week United’s interest in the Bologna striker is complicated by the high agent demands associated with a possible deal, with agent Kia Joorabchian reportedly demanding a payment of €15m in commission (£12.6m) to facilitate a move.

Brentford ace Ivan Toney and Lille striker Jonathan David remain of long-term interest to the club, while they could also consider less established names such as Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beier depending on how much money they make from projected player sales.
