New Premier League table without VAR and where Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd place - gallery

The Premier League season is coming to a close with more twists and turns likely at both ends of the table

Manchester City kept their Premier League title hopes in their own hands with a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest last weekend thanks to goals in each half from Joško Gvardiol and Erling Haaland.

Arsenal secured a big win over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to remain top by a point, but Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand over the Gunners. Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at West Ham all but ended their hopes of dethroning City with the battle for the title effectively a two-horse race.

For Manchester United, it was another frustrating afternoon at Old Trafford as they were held to a 1-1 draw by relegation-threatened Burnley. Antony put the hosts ahead with 11 minutes remaining but Zeki Amdouni scored from the penalty spot on 87 minutes to claim a point for the Clarets.

The penalty came after a check from VAR as Andre Onana clattered into Amdouni with his arm after completely missing the ball when coming to punch clear. The referee consulted his pitch-side monitor and swiftly awarded the penalty after ignoring the incident first time round. It was one of VAR’s less controversial incidents this campaign, with Onana nowhere near the ball as he collided with the Burnley man.

VAR has impacted both Manchester clubs this term and here we take a look at the latest Premier League without VAR table. We calculate the table by taking all of the game-defining VAR decisions and going with the decision made by the referee on the pitch. Take a look below.
