Manchester City face Wolves in Saturday’s 5:30pm kick-off.

Manchester City return to Premier League action on Saturday with a crucial clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Blues are currently sitting second in the table and trail leaders Arsenal by a point, albeit Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.

This weekend sees Arsenal kick things off in the title race when they face Bournemouth at the Emirates in a 12:30pm kick-off, before City host Wolves at 5:30pm. It means Mikel Arteta’s side could be four points clear by the time City are in action.

The champions are in imperious form heading into this weekend and are unbeaten in 31 matches in all competitions, while they haven’t lost at home since November 2022. They’ve also picked up five wins in the last five league matches.

As for injury-ravaged Wolves, their positive season has slightly petered out in recent weeks. One win in the last eight in all competitions has seen the Midlands side slip down the table and they currently sit in 11th place in the league.

Gary O’Neil’s list of absentees is currently sitting at seven, while Guardiola might only have one player missing.

Ederson was replaced at half-time with an injury in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, while two others missed out on the squad altogether. Ahead of the Wolves game, here’s the latest on City’s injury state of play and when every play could return….
