Kevin De Bruyne has admitted he could be open to a move to Saudi Arabia and revealed he and his family are discussing the possibility of leaving England.

The Manchester City star, who turns 33 later this month, has just one more year remaining on his contract at the Etihad and is in talks with the club about his future. ManchesterWorld revealed last week that De Bruyne and City are working to find a solution that benefits both parties, with both the player and the club described as ‘very comfortable’ by one source.

There is, therefore, a possibility that the Belgian leaves City this summer after nine glorious years in sky blue. He has been linked with moves to both the USA and Saudi, and in a recent interview De Bruyne admitted the latter could be an attractive option given the vast sums of money on offer.

“For [my wife] Michèle, an exotic adventure is okay,” he told Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws. “These are also conversations that we are increasingly having as a family. I still have one year left on my contract, so I have to think about what could happen.

“My eldest is now eight years old and knows nothing but England. He also asks how long I will play for City. Once the moment comes, we will have to deal with it in a certain way.”

On those links to Saudi, De Bruyne added: “At my age you have to be open to everything. You're talking about incredible amounts of money in what may be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.”

“If I play there for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that I had to play football for 15 years. I may not even reach that amount yet.

“Then you have to think about what that could mean next. But at the moment I haven't had to think about that yet.”

Should De Bruyne end up in the Saudi Pro League, he would follow the example of former team-mates Aymeric Laporte and Riyad Mahrez, both of whom moved to the Arab nation last year.
