Roberto De Zerbi has revealed Brighton & Hove Albion pair Pervis Estupinan and Evan Ferguson won’t play again this season due to injury.

It means the Seagulls face a lengthy injury list ahead of Thursday’s Premier League clash against Manchester City, which could prove to be a decisive game in the title race.

“His season is finished – it’s muscular, his calf,” De Zerbi said when asked about Estupinan in his pre-match press conference.

"Evan felt pain in the ankle a lot of times. He tried to move on and play with pain, but in the end he preferred to stop and think about next season,” he added.

The duo join a growing list of Brighton players who won’t play again this season, along with Solly March and Kaoru Mitoma. Meanwhile, De Zerbi said Adam Webster is available to face the champions and Julio Enciso might return.

“The situation is more or less the same as the last game. Webster is available to play,” explained the Italian. We will see about Julio Enciso. [Billy] Gilmour isn’t available, Tariq Lamptey no, James Milner no, Mitoma no, Ferguson no, [Jack] Hinshelwood no.”

Brighton head into the game on the back of a disappointing run that has seen the club win just one of their last 10 in all competitions. The south-coast side have slipped to 10th in the table and their hopes of finishing in a European spot are dwindling. As for City, they sit four points behind leaders Arsenal but have two games in hand.
