Sunny spells have been the name of the game this week, with temperatures remaining high. The lack of rain has led to hot and at times humid weather.
The weekend is set to be warm again, but the dry weather spell looks set to come to an end. Rain showers have been forecast by the Met Office on Thursday evening (June 27).

Hide AdThese will be light, but they also come at a time when temperatures will drop to below 20C. Today (June 26) it reached 27C in Manchester, but this will change considerably once the rain showers start to fall.
Friday morning will be sunny and cloudy with a small chance of a shower. The temperature will be a high of 17C.
Saturday will see darker clouds becoming part of the forecast and the temperature dropping to 16C, which is a considerable drop on what it has been this week.

Cloudy in the north at first, but soon clearing to give another very warm, if not locally hot day, with plenty of sunny spells. Sunniest in the south. An isolated shower possible during the afternoon and evening. Winds remaining light. Maximum temperature 27C.

June 27
Rain and drizzle soon clearing to the east. Skies then brightening to give sunny spells, though a fairly blustery day with a fresher feel and the odd shower, mainly later. Maximum temperature 21C.
Staying breezy through Friday with further showers and bright spells. Rain and drizzle arriving on Saturday, though with lighter winds. Drier for Sunday with bright spells and isolated showers.
