Manchester weather: Full Met Office forecast as temperatures set to pass 20C at weekend

October is here and despite an initial change in weather, Manchester may be in store for a t least a couple more milder days. A chilly and wet start to the week could look far different by the time the weekend comes around.
A drizzly start to the week is set to continue until Friday (October 6) and by then the temperatures will have risen. October 3 saw a high of 15C in Manchester, but this will rise to 19C by Friday.

Hide AdDespite the rise in temperatures, there won’t be much in the way of sunshine until the weekend. Rain can be expected on October 3 as well as Thursday (October 5).
Friday will be a dry day for much of the region, and there will potentially be no more rain until at least next week. Saturday (October 7) is when Manchester could experience sunshine and temperatures of over 20C.
A high of 21C is in the Met Office forecast for Saturday, with the sunniest part of the day expected to be early afternoon. This will continue into Sunday, and will be temperatures of around 20C to round off the week.

October 4
Mostly dry today and although fairly cloudy at times, occasional bright or sunny spells are likely. A few showers are possible, but these will be lighter than yesterday. Outbreaks of rain possibly arriving in Cumbria later. Rather windy at times. Maximum temperature 17C.

October 5
Largely cloudy through the morning with the odd shower. Showers or longer spells of rain developing by the afternoon and turning windier. Maximum temperature 16C.
Further rain at times on Thursday night, persisting in some northern areas on Friday. Becoming windy with local coastal gales. Turning much warmer and largely fine over the weekend.
