Road closures: nine for Salford drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Salford will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M602, from 9pm August 20 to 5am September 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M602 westbound, Total closure, junction 3 to, junction 2 - carriageway closure for electrical works.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• M60, from 8pm September 25 to 5am September 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise J12 to J12 - carriageway closure for structure - new/reconstruction.

• M60, from 9pm September 25 to 5am September 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 14 to junction 13 - lane closure for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal.

• M602, from 7pm to 10.30pm on September 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 eastbound, junction 3 to 2 lane closure due to communication works.

• M60, from 9pm September 27 to 5am September 28, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 both directions, junction 13 to junction 9 - carriageway closure for horticulture.

• M60, from 8pm September 28 to 6am September 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise J13 to J10 - lane closure for construction - bridge/structure.

• M61, from 8pm October 1 to 5am October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 southbound, J3 to J1 - lane closure for structure - maintenance.

• M602, from 12.30am to 5am on October 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M602 westbound, junction 2 exit slip road lane closure due to inspection works.

• M60, from 8pm October 2 to 6am October 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M61 both directions J1 to J3 - lane closure for structure - maintenance on behalf of National Highways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
