Rochdale road closures: nine for motorists to avoid this week

Rochdale's motorists will have nine road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And five of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• M60, from 5am March 12 to 5am October 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 20 - 21 Permanent narrow lanes due to barrier works.

• M60, from 8pm March 14 to 5am October 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M60 clockwise, junction 18 - 21 Lane closures for barrier Scheme works.

• A627(M), from 9pm October 1 to 6am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A627M northbound and southbound, j2 to A664 - carriageway closure for carriageway - Reconstruction/Renewal.

• M62, from 9pm February 16 2021 to 6am November 30 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62, junction 19 eastbound, exit slip Lane one closed due to construction of a new road.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A627(M), from 11pm October 3 to 6am October 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 anti-clockwise, junction 19 to 18 - Lane closure for communications.

• M60, from 9pm October 5 to 5am October 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 18 to junction 21 - carriageway closure for maintenance works.

• M60, from 9pm October 10 to 6am October 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M60 clockwise jct 19 - 21 lane closures and carriageway closures due to road markings.

• A627(M), from 9pm October 10 to 6am October 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J18 to J20 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

• M62, from 10pm October 13 to 6am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound and westbound, J19 to J21 - Lane closure for inspection/survey.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
