We visited Elizabeth Gaskell’s House to check out the family-friendly Halloween fun this half-term.

A writer’s house which is now a museum in Manchester is hosting half-term halloween activities for all the family to get involved with. Elizabeth Gaskell’s house is open to the public every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and this week there’s something extra special going on.

Alongside the regular activities, families are invited along to take part in Halloween crafts and listen to spooky ghost stories. There are craft tables to make a scary - or cute - bat, and plenty of Victorian clothes and toys to try.

Tickets for the event are £7 and last a full year, so you are free to explore the house again free of charge within 12 months.
