Manchester United are at home in the FA Cup tonight

The third round of the oldest football tournament in the world gets underway this weekend, and Manchester United kick off the action at home to Premier League strugglers Everton. The Red Devils will be hoping to take good recent league form into the cup.

United head into the match in great form having won six straight games in all competitions. In their last two home games, United have won 3-0 against Nottingham Forest and then AFC Bournemouth.

Everton, on the other hand, came into the cup tie in dreadful form. A 4-1 loss at home to Brighton & Hove Albion was the latest in a run of six matches without a win.

United have enjoyed strong cup performances so far this season already. They are in the quarter final of the League Cup next week, with the chances of a domestic cup double on albeit early days.

The United v Everton fixture has been picked for live TV broadcast on Friday, January 6.
