At this stage, it’s easier to name the Premier League clubs Jesse Lingard hasn’t been linked to, rather than those who are reportedly interested in the Manchester United midfielder.

The youth graduate’s time at Old Trafford appears to be drawing to a close, with his contract set to expire in the summer and a permanent or short-team move away from United seems likely in the coming days.

What’s been reported?

Journalist David Ornstein has told Sky Sports he believes Lingard will leave United before the end of the window, and thinks Newcastle still remain an option for the 29-year-old.

However, that is in contrast to what the Telegraph report, with them stating a deal between United and the Magpies has ‘all but collapsed’ due to the inclusion of a £12m survival bonus which the Red Devils requested as a condition of any potential loan deal.

The Telegraph also believe Lingard feels disrespected by United over the handling of this transfer saga.

Meanwhile, the Mirror are reporting that the Red Devils are ‘petrified’ of Lingard succeeding in the North-East and ‘showing them up’, much as he did last season on loan at West Ham United.

The Irons are still interested in a move for the United man, but they’re certainly not alone, with Juventus also monitoring the situation and are considering bringing Lingard to Turin for free next summer, as per the Manchester Evening News.

They also claim Burnley, Aston Villa, Leicester City and Everton are all considering a move for the No.14.
