Roy Keane has issued his verdict on Manchester United’s title chances this season.
The Red Devils are entering yet another new era after struggling to achieve longevity and success with head coaches over recent years.

There is a renewed confidence around United, though there is plenty of work to do, with key players leaving this summer, while United struggled even with those players last term.
New signings should help the cause, but even with new arrivals, and even after seeing United thrash Liverpool 4-0 in their first pre-season clash earlier this week, club legend Keane feels it is too soon to be thinking about any sort of title charge.
“The manager no doubt will be given money to spend, how he recruits, four or five experienced players have left the club, which I think is a good thing,” Keane told SkyBet.

City and Liverpool have dominated the Premier League over the last five years, and both clubs have brought in big-money transfers this summer in a bid to continue improving.
Other sides, such as Tottenham, have also recruited well, but Keane believes there are only two contenders for the title.
“I don’t think they (Tottenham) will close the gap. I think they will be a bit better. They have quality and the recruitment, but you can’t look beyond Liverpool and Man City.”

City will be favourites to retain their title this season, especially after signing Haaland, while Liverpool, armed with Darwin Nunez, will be most people’s second favourites.
