‘At least 20’ Manchester United players pictured at training on Tuesday

At least 20 Manchester United players have been pictured arriving at their Carrington training ground on Tuesday morning, according to reports.
The Manchester Evening News claim that several first-team stars, including David De Gea, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes were snapped en route to the club’s first session in a week, however Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Pogba were among those not spotted.

Hide AdBoth of United’s last two Premier League games - against Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively - were postponed due to an outbreak of Covid-19 among the squad, leading to a temporary closing down of first-team activities at Carrington.
Who’s been picture arriving at Carrington?
Among those sighted were: Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay, Fred, Mason Greenwood, Luke Shaw, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Charlie Savage, Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Edinson Cavani, Victor Lindelof, Bruno Fernandes, Amad, David De Gea, Alex Telles, Nemanja Matic
However, Cristiano Ronaldo, Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba, Diogo Dalot, Jadon Sancho, Phil Jones, Tom Heaton and Dean Henderson were not pictured, with the MEN report that 18 players were available to train and several left within 10 minutes of arriving.
The club’s official website then confirmed that the Carrington training ground has been opened and players are returning on a ‘staggered’ basis.

The Red Devils’ next game is 27 December, when they travel to take on Newcastle United at St James’ Park.
By that stage, United won’t have played in 16 days and then face Burnley at home on 30 December.
