National Express announces changes to Manchester services - including quicker London journey

There’s also alterations to a major Manchester Airport route.

Coach company National Express have announced that their route from Manchester to London will be quicker. The company has said that the journey time will be 30 minutes less than previously. 

The 540 service runs between the two cities regularly each day. The reduction means that some journeys will take just over four hours. Currently, tickets are available from £10.90 one way.

In addition to the Manchester to London route changes, National Express will also be making alterations to other routes affecting Manchester. From May 17, there will be an enhanced 170 service between Manchester, Manchester Airport, Liverpool and Leeds which will be useful if you are jetting off anywhere anytime soon.

This is the Trans Pennine coach network and connects the airport with Manchester city centre.  The 171 service between Manchester, Liverpool, Bradford and Leeds will also see the same improvements.
